Alice Springs Aero Club was established in 1963 to serve the local area through community based aviation services. We are a not-for-profit organisation, focused on developing the community and giving Northern Territory residents the freedom to fly.
Our aim is to promote and encourage all aspects of aviation, while providing a high-quality service. We facilitate this through flight training, charter flights, and assistance with freight throughout the Northern Territory. We run these services from the Alice Springs Airport.
Bond Springs Airfield (YBSP) is located on the North Stuart Highway, 20km north of Alice Springs. Our club has two hangars on site, providing short and long-term hangarage for local and interstate aircraft. The facility has off-the-grid solar power, providing amenities for our tenants, and a cloud-based security system monitoring the site. Bond Springs is managed by a committee of members from the following community groups:
Alice Springs Aero Club, the Alice Springs Gliding Club, and the Sports Aviation Association.
We've partnered with FTS to provide general aviation training. Our experienced flight Instructors are available to help you with a variety of licensing requirements.
Discover one of the most spectacular regions in the world from the air.
We are fortunate to operate scenic flights over the incredible Red Centre of Australia. Whether you've lived in Central Australia your whole life, or are visiting for the first time, a scenic flight over vast deserts, oasis-like gorges and iconic natural wonders – like the Uluru–Kata Kjuta National Park – is a
once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We are a close-knit group of members and share a wider vision of connecting people through flight.
Becoming a member of Alice Springs Aero Club grants you access to our facilities at both Alice Springs Airport and Bond Springs Airfield, and access to the entire fleet at the Alice Springs Airport.
